Eye care and focus timer

Blink

A gentle timer for the breaks your eyes keep forgetting to take.

The problem

Long stretches at a screen make it easy to ignore eye breaks. A useful reminder needs to be visible enough to change behavior without becoming another distracting productivity system.

The approach

Blink combines the 20-20-20 routine with familiar Pomodoro timing. Strict and Flow modes let people choose how structured a session feels, while clear heads-up notifications make the next break hard to miss.

What it does

  • 20-20-20 eye-break sessions and Pomodoro focus modes
  • Strict and Flow timing options
  • Live Activities and Dynamic Island status
  • Home Screen widgets plus Siri and Shortcuts actions
  • Session history and progress views

How it is built

  • A native SwiftUI interface across iPhone, iPad, and a Mac menu-bar experience
  • ActivityKit for glanceable live timer state
  • SwiftData for local session history
  • App Intents for system-level actions

Designed for the task at hand.

Privacy by design

Blink keeps session data on the device. It does not require an account to start a timer or review progress.
